Louisville 19-4, 8-2 In Conference and Duke 17-6, 6-4 In Conference
Louisville, KY- Rick Pitino and the Louisville Cardinals are coming off some very disappointing news from the previous week, but are now looking to prove themselves to the country on national television tonight. In the second game after the news of the self-imposed postseason ban Louisville will be facing Duke tonight. This game was lopsided last year with Duke just proving they were the dominate team, but this year might be a different story. Louisville even with the bad news have been playing some of their best basketball of the year, and Duke even though they have been playing better, they have shown that they are very vulnerable.
Louisville coming off a week when they had wins against UNC and Boston College have shown that they are going to be a tough team to beat, and even though they only have 8 games left in the season they are in control of their own destiny in regard to the regular season ACC title. This game will come down to if Louisville can hit their threes and if our big men can stay out of foul trouble. And for Duke they are going to have to defend the three point line, and Grayson Allen will have to be able to handle Louisville’s Press.
Louisville- Chinanu Onuaku, Damian Lee, and Trey Lewis
Duke-Grayson Allen and Brandon Ingram
I feel like the game will start off slow, but will pick up in the second half. The game will be loud and very emotional for the Louisville players, because this game will likely be as close to the NCAA Tournament that this team will get to today. Since Damian Lee is back today he will want to make up for the game he missed on Saturday against Boston College. I predict the game will be Louisville 76 Duke 70. This game will comedown to the end with Louisville hitting free throws near the end to ice the game.
