Today, the Louisville Cardinals will be taking on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Louisville coming off a loss to Duke will be looking to gain some momentum going into the last 7 games of the season. Notre Dame, will be looking for some momentum heading into the postseason. Both teams which are still in the hunt to win the ACC regular season title need this win to stay on pace with North Carolina. This will be a tough game for both teams, and if history has shown anything, this is going to be a frustrating game for both team.
Any UofL fan or Notre Dame fan can tell you that this game will be close. In the past 10 match-ups between the two, 6 have gone to overtime. This game is alway entertaining to watch even if your team loses, and I can’t imagine it being any different this year. The key to this game will be defense. Louisville needs to stop the 3-point shooting capability of Notre Dame, and Notre Dame will have to stop the duo of Damion Lee and Trey Lewis who had off games, but are both poised for a big performances. Who ever can stop the other teams 3-point shooting today will win this game.
I’m predicting a high scoring affair today. I’m also predicting a very close game that might go to overtime—just based on recent history. Both teams will shoot well today, and even though Louisville is playing at Notre Dame today, I’m saying Louisville pulls off the victory 82-77. As said before it will be entertaining, and I can’t wait to see these two teams square off on ESPN2 at 4:00pm.
