Why he is here
After barley playing in his first season, Lagerald Vick finally showed the potential to be an outstanding player. While at times his game didn’t appear to be there offensively, he still occasionally had flashy dunks and made great plays. One thing that didn’t always get recognized is his ability to guard the other teams best wing player.
Role on this years team
This year Vick will likely be a starter when the season begins, however he will at times be forced to play bigger than he is, a Kansas expects to play four guards a lot. While Graham and Newman will get the majority of the attention offensively, Vick will likely have games where he can go for 25. Expect him to also continue to guard the opponents best players defensively and become more of a shut down defender.
College season/ NBA Prospects
Vick is an outstanding talent, which would get him drafted if he went out after this season. When looking at the fact Kansas will lose Graham and Mykhailiuk for sure and likely Malik Newman, staying would be helpful for him. If he does that, a first round draft pick in 2019 would probably be a lock.
