Butlers Slump

Butler’s Slump

INDIANAPOLIS, IN- Even though the bulldogs are still ranked in the top 25 at 23rd in the country, they have been in a noticeable slump. Butler men’s basketball team started the season off strong winning 11 of their first 12 games. The only loss in that span coming against a Miami team that is currently 8th in the nation down at Puerto Rico Tip Off. TheyJosé Roberto Rojas Romero  gained momentum in the polls getting ranked as high as 9th in the country. Although now they are starting to slip. They have lost 3 of their last 4 with their only win coming when they a DePaul team that is currently dead last in the Big East by 5. They lost a crucial game against Providence at home in Hinkle. Then went on to get blown out by Xavier by 19 points and just this Sunday a loss to Villanova at home put them at 1 and 3 in conference and third to last in the Big East. Although Bulldog nation should get to down in dumps. Like every fan knows Butler is a “March Basketball Team and they haven’t not been playing that terrible. Besides the Xavier loss, all the other 3 losses were relativity close. Butler does not have a terrible loss yet. Their four losses this year have come against the currently 7th,8th,9th, and 12th ranked teams in the country. The bulldogs will start to pick it up Roosevelt is starting to play well and Dunham should start shooting like we know he can. I know many people still do not want to run into this team in the tourney.

Go dawgs!
