Why They Are Here

Jaren Jackson Jr. is a blue chip prospect and a unanimous five-star. He played in both the McDonalds All-American Game and the Jordan Brand Classic. He’s your ideal stretch 4, long with dribble move and the ability to shoot from outside. He also is one of the best defensive players in this freshmen class.

Role on This Year’s Team

Izzo’s team is loaded and Michigan State is back as a national contender. Jackson fits in perfectly in the starting front court with the likes of Nick Ward and Miles Bridges. His game can easily coexist with fellow big Nick Ward who does most of his damage in the paint. With all this talent around him, all of the pressure is off the freshman making East Lansing the perfect situation for him.

College Season/NBA Prospects

Do not be surprised to see Jaren average a double-double and win Big Ten freshman of the year. Jackson is coming into this season with lottery hype and is projected to be a one-and-done guy. However, we all remember Miles Bridges staying another year despite being a lottery talent.
