2019 4-star point guard Kobe Langley and 4-star shooting guard Keyshaun Langley committed to Virginia Tech last week. They are one of the few 2019 prospects to commit. Both are ranked as two of the best players in their home state of North Carolina.
“It was the best fit,” the twins said about Virginia Tech. “We felt comfortable there and saw ourselves there.” Both liked the “crazy” fans and the great environment in Blacksburg, Virginia.
Virginia Tech was the first school to officially offer the twins. After an unofficial visit to Blacksburg, both decided to commit.
As kids, the twins “always planned on playing in college together.” However, as they grew older, talks of that disintegrated. “We talked a lot about our visit to Virginia Tech,” Keyshaun Langley said. “Both of us then decided to commit there.”
2019 3-star center B.J. Mack also committed to Virginia Tech. Keyshaun Langley specified that they were not an intended package deal, and it just so happened that the three North Carolina natives, Mack and the Langley twins, committed on the same day.
Virginia Tech, who currently has three sophomores committed, is the only school in the nation with multiple sophomores committed. Buzz Williams currently has the #1 2019 recruiting class.
