We’ve Planned Your Entire Friday for You

College basketball’s official start is on Friday, November 11. There is a fantastic slate of games lined in a very intriguing first day. Here’s where we predict will be the outcomes of the great games on that much anticipated Friday.
(Times are in EST)

Louisiana Tech @ South Carolina – 6PM
I’ve got the Gamecocks in an intriguing matchup. Louisiana Tech could definitely come up with a W, but they need to adjust without Alex Hamilton (19.3 PPG last year), who exhausted his eligibility.

Vanderbilt @ Marquette – 6PM
Golden Eagles should knock off the Commodores in an evenly matched game. Vandy loses their two top players from last year in Wade Baldwin IV and Damian Jones and won’t be able to find a replacement this quickly.

Chattanooga @ Tennessee – 7PM

I’m very high on the Mocs this season. Return 4 starters from an excellent group last year. I chose Chattanooga with little hesitation.

#10 Arizona @ #12 Michigan State – 7PM
Though MSU is ranked lower than the Wildcats, I’m not too sure if this is an upset. ‘Zona lost Ray Smith (torn ACL) in the beginning of November. This game depends on Allonzo Trier’s status. If Trier doesn’t play, Arizona is not a top-15 group. Assuming he doesn’t play, the Spartans should win this ranked matchup in Hawaii.

Georgia @ Clemson – 7PM
This is a fantastic southern showdown that is completely a toss-up. I have the Bulldogs here. They have a deeper roster and Jarron Blossomgame won’t be able to carry the Tigers for the win.

Georgia Southern @ NC State – 7PM
I’d keep an eye out for this game. Georgia Southern has a dominating big three that could carry them over the Wolfpack. I’ll play it safe and give Mark Gottfried and his team the nod.

La Salle @ Temple – 7PM
This is a very intriguing contest between two well matched programs. I have the Explorers in an upset that won’t be greater than a double digit victory.

Fort Wayne @ Arkansas – 8PM
This game will be very close in a trap game for Arkansas. The Razorbacks might need OT to knock off Fort Wayne. Arkansas’s Moses Kingsley is the man to watch for here.

#11 Indiana @ #3 Kansas – 9PM
The game of the night on paper. I have the Jayhawks in a double-digit victory. KU has depth all over, the best backcourt in the nation, and arguably the top freshman in the nation in Josh Jackson. Josh Jackson will go against hyped sophomore OG Anunoby on the wing in Jackson’s college debut. Will be fun to watch.

Nevada @ #17 Saint Mary’s – 11PM
I’m high on Nevada this year, but Saint Mary’s will outmatch them with their experience and chemistry. This is the late-night game to follow.
