  • CPP Power Rankings Week 5

Each week on Tuesdays, I will be posting my power rankings from all the power conferences including the A10 and AAC. Also at the end of each ranking, I will add a few remarks on different team’s movements.

    A10

    1. Rhode Island
    2. St Bonaventure
    3. Davidson
    4. VCU
    5. Umass
    6. Duquesne
    7. George Mason
    8. La Salle
    9. St Joes
    10. GW
    11. Dayton
    12. St Louis
    13. Richmond
    14. Fordham

Dayton continues to drop as they cannot seem to figure out what to do to win this season.

    AAC

    1. Wichita State
    2. Cincy
    3. Houston
    4. SMU
    5. Temple
    6. UCF
    7. Tulane
    8. Tulsa
    9. Uconn
    10. Memphis
    11. USF
    12. ECU

Houston and SMU are battling for the 3 spot and potentially a tournament bid in March as both seem to be bubble teams.

    ACC

    1. UNC
    2. Miami
    3. Duke
    4. FSU
    5. Virginia
    6. Notre Dame
    7. Vtech
    8. NC State
    9. Louisville
    10. BC
    11. Syracuse
    12. Clemson
    13. Wake Forest
    14. Gtech
    15. Pitt

DUKE LOST TO BC, THIS IS NOT A DRILL.

    Big 12

    1. West Virginia
    2. Kansas
    3. TCU
    4. Texas Tech
    5. Texas
    6. Oklahoma
    7. Baylor
    8. Iowa State
    9. Kansas State
    10. Oklahoma State

West V dethrones Kansas for now at the top since Kansas was upset by Washington.

Three teams from Texas (TCU, Texas Tech, and Texas) continue to impress in a fight for the #3 spot.

    Big East

    1. Villaova
    2. Xavier
    3. Seton Hall
    4. Creighton
    5. Butler
    6. St Johns
    7. Providence
    8. Marquette
    9. Gtown
    10. Depaul

Providence has surprisingly started to struggle, and Xavier and Seton Hall are itching to get a shot at taking out Villanova.

    BIG Ten

    1. Michigan State
    2. Purdue
    3. Ohio State
    4. Michigan
    5. Maryland
    6. Minnesota
    7. Penn State
    8. Northwestern
    9. Illinois
    10. Rutgers
    11. Nebraska
    12. Indiana
    13. Iowa
    14. Wisconsin

Ohio State rises, Minnesota drops, and Wisconsin hits rock bottom.

    PAC 12

    1. Arizona State
    2. Arizona
    3. UCLA
    4. USC
    5. Washington
    6. Utah
    7. Oregon
    8. Oregon State
    9. Colorado
    10. Wash State
    11. Stanford
    12. Cal

We can now say that ASU is the best team in the PAC 12, but in-state rival Arizona finally figured it out after a slow start.

    SEC

    1. Kentucky
    2. Texas A/M
    3. Tennessee
    4. Florida
    5. Miss State
    6. Georgia
    7. Alabama
    8. Auburn
    9. Arkansas
    10. Missouri
    11. LSU
    12. South Carolina
    13. Ole Miss
    14. Vandy

Kentucky is back on top the SEC in my eyes as Florida had a bad week.
