Recruiting Update: October 30

Crazy 2 weeks in recruiting! We are 9 days away from the fall signing period where many of the committed players will make their commitment official and others will announce their intentions. Many players like to lock in their scholarship in and get their recruitment over with before the high school basketball season begins. All rankings are from 247 composite.

2018 Commitments

  • 5-star guard Ayo Dosunmu has committed to Illinois. Dosunmu is from Chicago, Illinois and is the best player in Illinois.
  • 5-star point guard Devon Dotson has committed to Kansas. Dotson is from Charlotte, North Carolina.
  • 4-star combo guard Luguentz Dort has committed to Arizona State. Dort is a Top 30 player from Toronto, ON.
  • 4-star combo guard David Duke has committed to Providence. Duke is from Providence, Rhode Island.
  • 4-star forward Josh LeBlanc has committed to Georgetown.
  • 4-star combo guard Eric Ayala has committed to Maryland. Ayala is from Bradenton, Florida.
  • 4-star Jared Butler has committed to Alabama. Butler is a point guard from Reserve, LA.
  • 4-star Landers Nolley has committed to Virginia Tech. Nolley is a small forward that is considered a Top 100 player.
  • 4-star small forward Kaden Archie has committed to TCU. Archie is from Midlothian, Texas and is ranked 106th. I am disappointed Archie Miller didn’t recruit a fellow member of the Archie community.
  • 4-star forward Talen Horton-Tucker has committed to Iowa State. Horton-Tucker was rumored to go to Illinois before Ayo Dosunmu gave an ultimatum.
  • 4-star forward Darius Days has committed to LSU. Days is from Gainesville, Florida and is ranked 65th in 2018.
  • 4-star forward Filip Petrusev has committed to Gonzaga. Petrusev attends Montverde Academy.
  • 4-star Jericole Hellems has committed to NC State. Hellems is a small forward from St. Louis, Missouri.
  • 4-star small forward Miller Kopp has committed to Northwestern. Kopp is from Houston, Texas and is a Top 100 player.
  • 4-star point guard Elijah Weaver has committed to USC. Weaver is from Oldsmar, FL and is ranked 35th in 2018.
  • 4-star shooting guard Bryce Hamilton has committed to UNLV. Hamilton is from Pasadena, CA and is ranked 111th according to 247.com
  • 3-star shooting guard Jaren Rhoden has committed to Seton Hall. Rhoden is from Bronx, NY.
  • 3-star forward Reggie Chaney has committed to Arkansas. Chaney is from Henderson, NV.
  • 3-star Nate Roberts has committed to Washington.
  • 3-star forward Yor Anei has committed to Oklahoma State.
  • 3-star forward Trey Jamison has committed to Clemson.
  • 3-star point guard Anthony Nelson has committed to Seton Hall.
  • 3-star small forward Khalid Moore has committed to Georgia Tech.
  • 3-star forward Keshawn Justice has committed to Santa Clara.
  • 3-star forward Duncan Demuth has committed to Oklahoma State.
  • 3-star Trey Wertz has committed to Santa Clara.
  • 3-star Mac McClung has committed to Georgetown.

2019 Commits 

These players cannot sign letters of intent but still want to finish their recruitment before the seasons starts.

  • 4-star shooting guard Grant Sherfield has committed to UCLA. Sherfield is from Arlington, Texas and is considered a Top 100 player.
  • 5-star forward Joey Baker has committed to Duke. Baker is a Top 20 player from Fayetteville, North Carolina.
  • 4-star forward Pat McCaffery has committed to Iowa. McCaffery is a Top 50 player and the coaches son.
