The No. 9 player (according to ESPN) in the country has surprisingly chosen Kentucky over Duke, North Carolina, Florida State, and Missouri. Knox is now the 7th commit for the Wildcats as he joins up with several highly rated recruits in PJ Washington, Nick Richards, Jarred Vanderbilt, Quade Green, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and newly acquired, Jemarl Baker.
Knox, the Tampa native will bring a wide array of talents to Coach Calipari and staff. BBN should expect an athletic wing, who runs the open floor well, will deliver a smooth mid-range game that extends out to the 3-point line. Knox is a sound perimeter defender who will make it difficult for other teams. His length allows for great finishes at the rim and often are set up by going back-door or by catching the lob and throwing down the alley-oop!
Now, Kentucky will focus on the last piece of the puzzle, center, Mohamed Bamba. Next year should be another exciting season for Calipari and company. This recruiting class is arguably the strongest Kentucky has ever seen. Once again, Kentucky reloads after sending several players to the NBA.
